I'll never forget how the CR was dissed when referred to as the "pedestrian"
version on the SS as compared to the SP by a prominent moto-mag years ago.
Steel swing arm, 4.5" rear, non-adjustable this or that. Rubbish I say!
Between '99 and '02, my red sled rocked the world of 600 (and many bigger)
Jap bikes from Carolina Motorsport Park to Mosport until it was returned
back to full street glory. Had to ride the snot out of it to do so-just had
to work up enough of an advantage each lap before getting onto any of the
longer straights. I have always prefered it visually to the SP simply
because there is so much in there that begs to be seen. (Props to all SP
owners, as well) It's like having a beautiful woman with a sexy long red
dress with a big slit up the side of the dress. With the SP, there's no
slit!!!
