Just to ditto that, I've only really been down once (well, twice if you
count a lowside at the track) and that time I was wearing an Arai RX-7.  I
didn't slide so much as flopped on the tarmac like a fish tossed onto the
wharf, and part of said flopping was me landing on my face.  Mild concussion
(through no fault of the helmet), and otherwise cranially unscathed.  I look
at the little beanies my Harley buds wear and shudder to think what my face
might've looked like had I been wearing one of those.  *shudder*
