It is a single piece but it is follow you said solid. And a constructed
welded swingarm can be lighter and stronger then a single piece casting.
A casting is about the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to
construction techniques for strength and light weight. The good thing
about a single piece casting is it is cheap.
