I have to admit, I am usually screwy on the "like it or not like it"
decision when a new bike comes out. I didn't like the 999 when I saw it
magazines, but I really liked it after I saw it in person. I thought I had
to have a MHE when I saw the pictures, then wasn't so impressed after seeing
in person. The 1994 900 SS/SP I own now...Well, I have come to of think it
as one of the most beautiful bikes I have owned and I didn't even notice
them until I got mine in 2000. Also at that time, the 916 got all the
attention. Yes, I have always thought the 916 was beautiful. Still may try
to get one eventually.

When I saw the price and specs of the 1098, I couldn't believe it. Two
things ran through my head,

"That's much cheaper than I expected!"

  and second,

"I wonder how cheap I can pick up a 999 in few months?"

Yep, I like bargains. If specs are correct and price is real world, seems
like a great deal.

I will withhold my "like it or not like it" until I see it in person due to
my history of indecision. But I like the pictures so far.
