[Ducati] 14T Front Sprocket on 916's

I seem to remember there are issues about running 14T front sprockets on 525 pitch chains on 916's.  

Can anyone refresh my memory on the pitfalls of doing this?

I seem to remember something about excessive wear on the swingarm chain guides from the tighter chain wrap...  Is this right?
