You do not understand why folks consult the internet before their dealer?????? How about the many dealers who are pompous shits who pretend to be authorities and dont know shit. How about dealers who get alot of their own information from the internet and then spout it as if they got it off the mountain with Moses. Come on. Is this to say there are not plenty of really damn good dealers out there? Nope, several of em are frequent participants here, I know several of them and hold them in very high regard. But the average owner has a crap shoot, a better than even chance that their local dealer is in the above category. So dont take it personal. I have not turned to the average dealer for answers in 30 years of riding and somehow I survived. I guess that is because I am a know it all....yeah right :) Oh and of course the local dealers always spout info for free, even when you dont have checkbook in hand....they are never too busy...the mechanics are always the most
knowledgeable and full of free service advice.

WARNING - RANT: altho i don't understand why people consult the list first instead of their dealer. going in with "ammunition" from the internet most likely just pisses them off. it pisses me off when people treat me like they've just assumed i'm an arsehole who has to be put in his place. the dealer doesn't decide whether it's warranty, the importer does.
sorry if that's not you, but it just annoys me. :RANT OVER.
