[Ducati] "Breakaway" helmets

I'm glad you're still with us. Hope the rest of you is OK. What I was
getting at was breakaway bits, not so much stuff grinding off. This came up
because I've had a two helmets (same brand) were the vents fell off in
normal use. Someone suggested that they were not affixed as solidly as I
thought they should be because they were designed to breakaway. I had never
heard that and was looking for additional info. I am curious though about
your accident. What caused it?
