On your comment about who makes the decision on warranty... The first  
step is the dealer and what kind of relationship does that dealer  
have with Ducati.

If the dealer is even willing or bothered to pursue the warranty then  
it will more than likely get taken care of.

Many dealers don't bother with it.  I had rocker arms warrantied at  
Munroe Motors.  I sold a motor to a guy in Portland and the motor had  
the same warranty issues... The dealer said he'll have to pay for it.

He almost did until he contacted me and I told him Ducati should  
warranty it.  He went back to the dealer with this information and  
all of the sudden he has 3 new warrantied rocker arms.
