Dirk, you will always get water in your oil. Getting engine hot and letting the PCV system do its job will usually get rid of it. Of course if you are letting it sit for long periods of time and put it up cold so to speak, meaning you ride short distances and never really get rid of all the typical moisture an engine develops than you may need to do something. Some folks who have been at it far longer than me recommend fogging an engine, this is injecting a vaporized lubricant in through the intake when planning to let an engine sit for a while. I think kawasaki even made a fogging lubricant in a spray can. years ago Bruce of BCM even helped me install Ts in the intakes on my 916 just for fogging engine. Problem is no matter how good the engine oil, left to sit for awhile most of that oil will end up in crankcase and those few small spots with no lubricant, like rings to cyclinder wall will seize up/ stick/corrode and oooppps. Fogging works better. Of course starting and
running bike with some frequency is always a good idea but....

We spend about 1500 year on oil analysis at work and I spend some amount of time reading the reports. Regualrly changed oil the biggest issue is often water. And such things are good indicators of viscosity changes like when someone uses wrong oil or you start to see higher trace metals...
