[Ducati] Which 900 engines had the bad studs

anything with silver studs (they're stainless steel) with an X on top.  i had one break on an engine i was asked to do a super cheap reco on after i'd assembled it and boxed it, but apparantly before it came out of it's box at the other end of the country.  got called all sorts of names over that one.  stud was broken off just below case level, but it came out easy with a bolt welded to the end of it.

conversly, we have a '93 engine in bits at the moment that we're doing the right thing with and replacing all the studs.  removal has resulted in some case damage tho - some just broke trying to get them out and they wouldn't move.  amazed me how stuck they were.  we were welding nuts onto the ends of the studs and having them fail in brittle torsion almost further down.  i've never had them like that before.
