[Ducati] 2004 Multistrada questions...please help.

Yes, the tank/seat comes off. It looks worse than it is, around 30 minutes
or less. But they should have made it easier.

Is the bike still under any warranty? It sounds like the instruments may be
toast. Might want to try and undo/clean and redo the connectors.

Yeah, they set them up that way for some odd reason. The odometer seems
right on.

I see the answer to the warranty question. Yes, the seals on the early bikes
were not as good, there is every chance they may do a 'good will'
replacement. A lot depends on the dealer, and since you bought the bike from
them they should help out there.

Yeah, the fuel gauge is horrible. The sender only goes to the bottom of the
'top tank' not the part under the seat. No way to fix it without adding
another sender. It does hold about 5 gals.
