Okay, since you started it... ;')

Approximate Calorie content (actually kilocalories, depicted with a capital
"C"): Protein 4 Cal/gm; Carbs 4 Cal/gm; Fats 9Cal/gm; Alcohol 7 Cal/gm

Low carbs - can help for a limited time in those who are "insulin resistant"
(pre-diabetic), generally, if you look at yourself and think "I'm really
getting fat", or if you know you're in really bad shape. Long term, the
high-fat content of a low carb diet can _increase_ the cardiovascular damage
to your circulatory system. So, if you do low-carb, especially don't do it
for a long period of time, like over a month or two.

The value of wine, especially red wine, lies in its anti-oxidant properties,
not that there is any other "magic" in it. Having said that, I like to
drink my vino!

The key to weight loss is PORTION CONTROL!!!!!! A "normal" meal in any
restaurant is enough food for AT LEAST two people, many times good for 3 to
4! When you go to a restaurant, split your meal between two, even if you
pay a plate charge.

Generally, eating just one meal is not a good idea. More frequent, smaller
meals evens out the metabolic processes that occur following a meal. Too
low a caloric intake (generally under about 700-800 Calories/day) will
actually IMPAIR weight loss, as it induces a fasting state. Really, it's
everything in moderation, including moderation.

And, don't forget to increase aerobic and anaerobic exercise. It increases
metabolic rate and lean body mass, both of which help you to lose "size".
When you exercise, you might not lose "weight" as quickly, because lean body
mass weighs more than fat. BUT, your clothing will fit better, and you'll
be healthier.

Trust me on this... :')
