well, the numbers are pretty bleak for him if nicky continues his
consistency.  before assen, rossi would have needed 9 wins assuming
nicky came in 2nd on those, now he needs 9 wins AND nicky to finish
lower than 2nd at least once (of course there are many other scenarios,
but that's the straight forward one, 46 points down, 9 races can yield
45).  that's a lot to ask, even of rossi.  his only hope is that other
riders will win races when he doesn't and that he always finished ahead
of nicky.  or that nicky suffers a DNF.

then again this topsy turvy season is sure to have at least 1 more
twist, so who knows.

philip island 2003 and he was yellow flagged.  you see the black flag
and you're out ;)

yeah, that was pretty amazing but of course rossi was on a honda then...

GOD how I hate honda :- ......
