I have not been able to become happy with mine either ... When I have some free time I'm going to remove the forks and send them off to Lindemann and buy an Ohlins shock (also from LE Suspension)

ps. This is not the best time to send off the forks ... Race season backlog.

Greetings good Ducati friends

I am back in the Ducati world after my monster mishap 8 months ago. This time I have a 2004 Multistrada (with full Termi system :-). But MAN I cannot get the suspension to do anything like what I want it to do!
It handles both harsh and sloppy at the same time. Bounces around a lot and does not really soak up bumps, follows grooves in the road and runs wide (even though I installed new Diablo Corsas, whose profile is very ‘steep’ on the front tire) in the corners.

I started with the "stock" recommended settings as suggested in the owner’s manual but did not have any confidence in the handling. So I have been playing around, reducing pre-load and compression damping to give it a softer feel and increasing rebound damping to get it to stop pogo-ing around over bumps when I am leaned over. I have tried a multitude of other settings but cannot get the front or rear to behave in any manner close to satisfying. And it seems the adjustments do not affect things very much either. All in all my triumph tiger (for me) handles far better with it’s cheap stock suspension.

For the record I weigh 165 pounds geared up. My question is:

What suspension settings have any of you tried (who weigh approximately what I do) which make the bike handle half way decent and not run wide?

What suspension mods would you recommend for this bike? I am told by my dealer I can get Ohlins internals for the front and rear for about $800. But what about a rebuild/spring replacement by Lindeman Engineering or Race Tech?
ANY and all advice is appreciated and it’s great to be back in the world of Ducati. Hello again to you all.
