Perhaps you could thread the ID of the pipe, then get some custom collars made up to hold the transducer?

NO DUCATI CONTENT

Hi guys,

I am hoping to pull from the collective mechanical experience on this
list for a problem I am working on at my lab. I need to mount a 1" OD
pressure transducer inside of a 1.5" ID pipe. I can't seem to find an
elegant mechanical design solution that will firmly grip the
transducer inside of the pipe within the tight space constraints that
I have.

Has anyone seen any elegant solutions to this problem? Maybe an
eccentric cam binding arrangement? Or something similar? I have to
squeeze the transducer at the same time as expanding to fit inside of
the pipe. Mechanically I am sure this has been done before... I just
can't seem to locate and example that fits my app...

Any help or ideas where to look would be greatly appreciated. I am
writing to this list because I see lots of examples of brilliant
mechanical design on my Duc and parts from NCR and CycleCat that I
thought it might be a good place to ask.

Thanks!
