[Ducati] 1.2 litre bike coming soon

I, for one, thought the 916 - 998 series of super bikes was outdated, specifically the top of the faring/dual headlight look lost it's appeal at the 996 for me. The 999 addressed, afaik, many issues re comfort/rideability and the switch to the dss swing arm both, reduced weight, and separated ride height from chain adjustment. I think it also made the rear wheel less likely to deflect, and therefore improve tracking through corners. However, I'm not a big fan of the 999 "train" headlight look, though it has grown on me. 
   
  I agree, Ducati should embrace the past, but that doesn't mean it can't move forward. I prefer a dss because I feel it works better, *and* I love the look of the motogp swing arm, all beefy with the integrated shock. I'd prefer that look to the 916 sss arm and conventionally placed shock. PT was right re the dss IMO. :-)
