First use of a single sided swingarm to my knowledge was the German built
Imme R100 built in 1949. The little bike was both beautiful and ingenious.
Ducati was right behind them with the Cruiser scooter, it's first SSS built in
1950 as was Moto Guzzi with the Galetto scooter.
