Well God bless you guys....

I took the advice I was given and low and behold the High-Low Beam
Head Light Relay Switch (Borg Warner R3154) was the fix.
I just plugged in the $20.00 relay and were back in business
terrorizing the country-side.

I thought I would have to drive to Atlanta drop off the bike for a
week or two, drive back to pick her up and pay the fee for the
specialists to "fix" the electrical problem.
No, nada, not this time. Saved $200.00 bucks I did!

Thanks George Durden "Duc4two", Richard"Rotor" Budd, and "the browns"
for the good advice.

Not the most technical post you'll ever read....

A few weeks ago I noticed, during my pre flight, that my front brake
lever didn't actuate the rear brake light while the bike was running
(04 999 mono). When I turned off the bike, but left the key on, the
rear brake light would actuate. Then with out any inspection in a day
or two the whole thing went away.

Now then,.... Friday afternoon I took a solo sprint out for a late
afternoon ride and didn't notice anything until around dusk. At that
point I began to get high beam flash's from some on-coming cars. It
took a few flashers for me to realize it wasn't them warning me about
the police or a dog in the road, but rather I had no head lights.

So I rode home holding the high beam trigger on the left bar, which
still worked and believe me it was a pain. The high low switch didn't
work at all, nada, nothing.

So Sunday I took the fuses out, they were all fine, and then I
checked for a loose connection, nothing. Finally I took the bar
switch apart and looked inside to see if the high low switch might
have come unsoldered. That three wires looked OK except for a couple
of tiny black marks on two of the wires that didn't look like they
were shorts, but suspicious. The next thing is to check the low beam
bulb.... Right.

The turn signals work as do the brake lights and rear running lights,
the license tag light ...Oh, and the center windshield parking/
running light works too.

I have a shop manual and have poured over it to find anything that
might give me a clue. Anyone had both beam's stop working except for
the high beams passing trigger? Any suggestions.
