Actuall Harlyn my 95 SP has a little tang that is supposed to limit the
movenent but as soon as the axle is tightened it stops anyway. I had the
same thing happen and it turned out to be the drive unit. It had a little
crack in the housing but nothing serious. Looks can be decieving on these
things so have a good look at it. You can also detetch the cable from the
drive unit and chuck the cable end into a drill and give it a spin. If the
needle moves it's the drive unit if it dont then it's the cable or speedo
head.

Peace...Ron"Desmohead"Betts 95 900 SP
I've learned that I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy it!
