Yes Pete. In retrospect that's probably the easiest way to go about it. The stock SB wheels are readily available on eBay for cheap and although the spokes are narrower, I doubt many people would notice. As an added bonus it probably also weighs less. You will still have to deal with the speedo drive...the stock SB drive is way off when used with the SS speedo.
Also, if you are going to use your 40mm calipers with the 65mm forks...adapters are available for about $170 from Yoyodyne, Motowheels, etc.
