[Ducati] 12,000 mile maint for 900SSie

Who is your local dealer?
What is their hourly shop rate?
Are they charging retail plus 400% for parts?
If so, look for some online parts and take them into the dealer for install/replacement.  

For example, on my 996S, some dealers want to install the OEM Champion spark plugs @ $15 - $18 each.
No way, Hosay - I say.
I put in the proper $3 NGKs with no issues at all.

I know Ducati maintenance is expensive, but I didn't expect it to be this
high for a 2v bike!  My nearby Ducati dealership quoted me $700 for the 12k
maintenance on my '99 900SS.  I know the 12k is a big one, but does this
sound right to everyone?!?
