I'll also vouch for the Pilot Sports, although that particular line is no
longer available. The replacement line is the Pilot Powers. I've also run
those, and was equally impressed. They provide excellent grip for spirited
riding. Since they are a sport compound, however, they won't wear as well
as a sport-touring compound such as the Pilot Road. My bike is all for play
and no commuting, so I'm willing to make the trade-off of mileage for grip.

Although I have been throroughly satisfied with the Pilot Powers, I still
wanted to test other tires. So, I just bought a set of Pirelli Diablos and
had them mounted a few days ago. No eval available yet, as I have just
gotten them scrubbed in. The price, however, was excellent. $200 for both
the front and rear, shipping included, at www.motorcycle-superstore.com. I
think you'll find that price is tough to beat for any reputable tire.
