[Ducati] 900 Ducati SSCR on ebay, thoughts?

I bought a 96 CR a few years back. After riding it for a few months, I figured out what I wanted to do to it to get it where I wanted it in terms of performance and handling. After I added up the costs of upgrading, I was looking at more than the cost of a well set up and maintained SP. I sold the CR and bought an SP, a decision I have never regretted.
Even if you wanted a CR, I think $3000 is too much, and suspect that $2400 is as well. If I wanted a CR, and the bike were pristine, I might pay in that neighborhood for it. If this is an entry bike to Ducati riding, I'd hold out for an SP,...and ask the listers a lot of questions. They know a hell of a lot.
Also, regarding registration:
It looks like it has already been registered in Maine and Massachussetts, so it should not be hard to register. Make sure there are no back fines or fees on the vehicle, since the new owner will have to pay for them (like expired registration).
