[Ducati] Worn clutch question...

Hi All,

My '94 900SS has a bunch of enjoyable miles on it but
the clutch is starting to show signs of wear.  I
measured the disk tangs to clutch basket which in my
Haynes manual say should be a maximum of .6mm, well my
old girl shows 2.6mm gap.  Besides making more noise
and beating the heck out of the clutch basket what
other risks do I face?  Have any of you actually had
one of the tangs break off???  What is the best
replacement clutch to go for?  Any info would be much
appreciated.
