Well I have been blessed with a woman in my life who also likes motorcycles and some of those would not have been bought if not for her, but I got to ride them a little at least. Like you only bad bike had 4 wheels. :) Rich

Wow Rich,
you have had some great Jap. bikes, some of which I have raced on, tho not
owned, including the RZ350 and CBR600 (F4 tho), and have owned an RD400 and
ridden the SV650, among others. I currently have an R1 racebike and it makes
gobs of power all along the RPM range, no frenzy at all. In the early days,
I rode the old Eng. bikes, but then in the early 60s, a trim new bike came
along, and by Nov. 64 I was happily riding my 250 Ducati Scrambler, a big
step up from the Limeys. A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to be in Italy
for the World President's Meeting, and had requested an ST2 as my first
choice. While others had various hot rods, including a 999R, the ST2 was as
fast as any of the bikes on those roads (except the autostrada) and got
about twice the kilometers rolled up on the odometer by the time the bikes
were turned in. Whatever bike makes you feel like riding is a good bike. Of
course there will always be those who will ride Harleys or BMWs or Royal
Enfields or whatever, and I just feel that if they are on two wheels, it is
all good. But the only really bad motorcycles are called cars :-)
Peter

Frenzied rice rocket does not descibe most of the Japanese MCs I have owned.
Esp RC51. RVF400, NSR250, RD400, RZ350,CBR600F2, VFR750,CB700SC, SV650,
ZX6R, Hawk GT, CBR900, 929, 954, to name a few. All great and none a
frenzied rice rocket. There are lots of good bikes out there. Ducati is just
one.
Still for me it started with old 900SS. The MHR, then F1....then Paso showed
signs of life for Ducati. Anyway, lots of bikes to love...never met one I
did not like at least a little. Rich
