[Ducati] Simple green

 I used Simple Green on a 99 996 and it coated the aluminum with a white powdery film that was a pain to remove. All the un-painted aluminum, alum. bolts and uncoated aluminum parts had to be metal polished to remove the white etched powder. I have seen it happen on un-coated auto wheels with certain degreasers but as Simple Green is an organic Pine derivative I thought it would be harmless.
I only used it once on my bike, so my experience may be the exception. I did take another look at the label and it wasn't mentioned to be harmful to anything. My advice is to read the degreaser labels for warnings before buying.
