I'm a bit late with this, but have been out of internet contact for a few days (having left the temperate climes of the SF Bay area for the temperate climes of Northern Virginia (this is winter, isn't it?).
I want to wish everyone a pleasant, productive, and adventurous new year. Thanks to all in the list for their comraderie (I can never spell those french words), support and assistance.
I've already gotten over the fact that noone is giving me a 1098 tricolor anytime soon. Maybe I can scrape up enough to get a 996 someday.
Glad to hear that Garth managed the Houston Galleria. I was there once, while visiting a cousin, and couldn't get around the durn place even able bodied (of course, I get disoriented rather easily). Continue to get well quick, Garth.
The SP waits for full inspection. I did look at the bike a bit the other day. I could not get the oil to come up into the sight glass, and the glass looked odd. I couldn't get close enough to really look. Should I worry about engine damage as a result of the fall? it looks intact, and has no scrapes (even the clutch cover looks okay). The fairing and RKA panniers took most of the hit.
The shoulder feels better quickly, but I'm not using it much. It will be hard to stay off the Alazzurra for long enough for full recovery.
