Not sure of the extent of your injury, Kevin, but when I broke my clavicle I
was up and riding again one week later.  Probably not smart, and I'm not
necessarily advocating that you ignore the better judgment of your
orthodpedician, but I simply couldn't take not riding one second longer.  :S

In fact, I dropped the 850# Beemer on its side in a parking lot about 3
weeks after the accident and picked it up all by my lonesome.  The next day,
the orthopedic guy said, "No heavy lifting."  Okay, Doc.  :D
