Thanks for bringing this up. I ran into the same thing with a bike I
saw on ebay. In the non-Ducati world, TB is the standard acronym for
Throttle Bodies. There are some who obviously never stepped out of
DucatiWorld and use TB to refer to Timing Belts.

Hey, can we nip this in the bud and let's all just call them "belts"?

There's enough acronymania going on, and we don't need the confusion.
On the other hand, misuse of an acronym is a good red flag that you
might be dealing with a scammer or clueless poser. (Not to imply that
the dealer who accepted this ridiculous consignment is either
scamming or clueless.)
