[Ducati] 749 not starting

Richard,
  I've had both the 11.9 (battery) reading and the
bike not starting issues with my 749 from 04.  The
first time the bike actually cut out midstride on a
country road and it wouldn't start.  That turned out
to be a bad ECU from the dealers description.  The
second time it was simply a dieing battery.  How old
is your battery?  Can you pop start it?  Does it do
the same on a charger?
  We'll get these 49's figured out eventually.  Until
then we'll keep this charade up.
