actually, that's not correct. first off, the 916 lights are not
slanted. in fact they look a lot like the lights of the '92 honda nr
750 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_NR). and besides, what i'm
implying is that the 916 was much more innovative in form than the 1098.
look, i'm not knocking ducati. the 1098 is marvelous. i'm just saying
that the bike looks more like a japanese bike than a ducati. it's still
a very nice looking bike, just not as cutting edge. the 916 had
insanely revolutionary looks. the 999 had insanely revolutionary looks
(even if you didn't like them). the 1098 isn't a big departure from
current motorcycle form. it's cutting edge technologically tho and when
i have the means, i'll be sure to own one.
i'm a very visual person and vehicle aesthetics are critical for me,
much to my shame...
(sorry for reviving a month old thread, just going through a lot of
email and couldn't help myself :)
