Brian,
I've heard these allegations discussed before. It's certainly not out
of the realm of possibility. The only thing I might quibble with below
is......"who has the top 250 rider on board". You could certainly make
a case that Valentino Rossi would be that guy, not Dani Pedrosa. Loris
Capirossi was a quite accomplished 250 rider as well. Perhaps the most
dominant 250 rider of the recent era isn't in MotoGP any longer, he's
over in WSB riding a Suzuki.
Dennis
p.s. There really should be a rule in place in MotoGP for combined
bike/rider minimum weight, and ballast required if necessary. Whether
Honda will keep that from happening is fodder for another conspiracy
theory fer ya.

There is a conspiracy theory in the UK about this. Consider the
following: what cc do you get if you lose 1 cylinder of a 990cc V5? Who
has been banging on for ages that V4 is optimum engine configuration for
a bike? If smaller/lighter rider gives an advantage with less bhp, who
has the smallest/lightest rider? If the 800s ride more like 250s, who
has top 250 rider on board? Whose 'favourite' rider comes from the same
country as motogp's decision makers?

DaVinci code has nothing on the world of gp.
