[Ducati] Advice on fixing my 916

it's been 9 months since my crash at infineon and the 916 is finally close to life.  the motor is running great and everything is almost ready to go.

the remaining items are a damaged headlight assembly and the clutch pump & lever assembly.

the clutch lever assembly is the thing that really bugs me.  one broken piece but:
1. I can't figure out a good safe way to extract it
2. if I do extract it, can I replace just that bit without shelling out the big bucks to replace the entire unit?
3. what the heck do you call that thing?  even the ducati shop manual doesn't label it in the diagram.
