[Ducati] does your bike lean low?

I have heard this before on other lists. Seems to be a common concern. So far in my travels I have only found one place that has a product to address this. Cycle Cat has replacement side stands that you can install that are longer than stock: http://www.cyclecat.com/KS1-1.htm.

Maybe I never noticed this before and maybe it is a suspension issue but
when on the kickstand, my '01 996 seems to lean WAY over. It almost seems
like it might tip over if it were on any sort of incline. How can I check
and see if I'm just being nervous and it's supposed to be like that?
