the meeting held in italy of the major international
promoters was supposedly to get most countries to run
SBK to international rules thereby making it easier
for riders to compete on the word stage. guess usa is
still having trouble catching up with the times -
remember the old 750 sidevalve V 500 OHC rules.
even though the folks on this list are probably biased
we all know it makes sense to conform to internation
regs.
now if the AHRMA would do the same it would not have
been so confusing trying to figure what class was what
at when i was back at mid ohio.even just going for
international colour number plates for capacity would
help.
as for the staggered starts - they are a disaster
waiting to happen. surely the track is wired for
transponders so why not use them for grid positions &
let the computer work out class winners????? with the
mega $$$ spent on some of the rigs in the paddock a
transponder is only ashtray money or do as we do down
under just hire one for the weekend.
