[Ducati] rumours

Well, Phil....I voted for Bush 145 times in Hamilton County, TN and another 80 times at my alternate address in Georgia. 8 ) I figured anything was better than Frankenstein Kerry........and I was probably right.

Politics suck. We now return to your regularly scheduled programming, already in progress.

I can believe the Foggy rumor, and I'll bet that the team will do well. We malign Biaggi sometimes, but he's a damned talented rider.

I hope that Ducati is using the threat of withdrawl to force the AMA into a rules change that will allow them (and everyone else) to run WSB spec equipment in the US. I think that such a rules change would be good for the sport in the US and good for all of the teams and manufacturers involved. I also don't think that Ducati can reasonalby hope to absent themselves from AMA racing and try to sell more bikes in the US at the same time. Ducati has built its reputation on performance motorcycles and any move to withdraw Ducati from AMA racing would be perceived by many Americans as an admission of defeat. I'd hate to see my favorite marque relegated to the nostalgia market like HD and others.

I don't think we'll see a V5 in '07.....but I hope I'm wrong!! I'm not ashamed to ride a Honda, and it's bound to be less costly than Desmosedici. Hip Hip..........

My two cents,
