I canceled mine last year with Nationwide @ $430 full coverage, this year my
broker got me $180 per 748 for everything except collision for a year. I was
pleasantly shocked, they are using Progressive now for motorcycles.

i have a 2001 996S, i had two speeds in 2005 (both less than 10mph
over), 30+yrs old, single;

i just went to the linked insurance website and was quoted $1500+/yr.

progressive was $1800. foremost (mc insurer for USAA) was stupid high,
$4700.

premium at geico was $900+/yr, at the $100K liability limits.

i'm sure each company is unique to driving record, age, location, etc.
nearly anything with full fairing is going to be classified as
sportbike/superbike.

so, i'd say the lit'l british lizard wins.

They are an agent. They found the best price for me on my 2003 ST4s.
